I am Micheline and I’ve been working retiree for 5 years. Before I had been employee of a factory manufacturing and marketing medical products in the Paris region for 19 years.
My former duties consisted in working as part of a team to prepare and prepare orders for medicines and parapharmacy products. Another dimension of my job was also my participation in the quality control of the parcels to be sent.
My work was difficult with a shift organization with two shifts per day (between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m., then between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.), alternating every other week. It required teamwork qualities, resilience and courage, and the ability to adapt to each order individualized by customers. A lot of attention and precaution was required.
I had a background with high school and a technical baccalaureate as a medical assistant. I didn’t work after that, even after I got married and started a family with two children. But when I found myself alone, I had to start working to provide for my family and children. I then relied on my training, which then helped me to enter the world of work, to find a job related to what I knew and wanted to do.
