I studied as an electrical installation technician at Inforpreparação, in Oeiras, Portugal.
I was born in Angola and came to live in Portugal with my mother when I was 15. I went to a regular public school, but I did not fit in well so I only spent one term there. Then I heard about an electricity vocational course and decided to enroll. Currently, I am working in the company where I did my apprenticeship, so the course was very important to get my current job. When I started the course, I did not have high expectations, but I learned to love the area and the trainers taught me everything I know today about electricity that I put into practice in my job.
My job requires me to do a lot of soldering of components, so the main skills I have to use are concentration and precision. What I like most about my job is the people and being close to home. There is nothing that I do not like.
Next year I want to go to university to study mechanical engineering or electronics. For this reason, I am currently studying to take the national tests to enter university.
